Every acquisition follows the same playbook: a 100-day plan establishing governance, reporting standards and cash controls; deployment of the shared technology rails; a standardised operating cadence of KPIs and reviews; compliance embedded by design; growth acceleration through pricing, distribution and cross-sell; and deliberate exit preparation — verified operational metrics and governance maturity that support stronger multiples at exit.

Risk management

Portfolio entities are strictly ring-fenced — legal separation with no cross-liability — under institutional controls: independent boards, external audit requirements, concentration limits, zero-trust data security, and continuous real-time monitoring. Risks are contained per entity while infrastructure benefits are shared across the ecosystem.

The team

The fund is managed by its General Partners across the US, UK and South Africa: Michael Cothill (Managing Partner, US), Michael Sevell (General Partner, US), Dave Romero (General Partner, South Africa) and Ben Botes (General Partner, UK) — an investment committee combining decades of corporate finance, fund operations and company-building experience, with substantial GP capital committed alongside investors.
